Martine nous fait redécouvrir
un moment de notre vie à tous: ce moment d'éternité,
de spiritualité, d'éveil et de grâce qui est
en nous. Merci à l'artiste.

Martine Quentric-Séguy - A versatile
personality with vivid interest :
Having just finished with her exhibition (on compassion) of paintings
at Tibetan Pavilion, Auroville, she has one (Hymnes à l'Amour)
in Pondicherry. For painting lovers, around 14 of her best adorn
the walls of Aurodhan art gallery, waiting for art lovers to whisk
them away.
... The artist "invents something to the idea that she sees
on the handmade papers with leaf imprints and other varieties of
paper produced in Auroville". The Painting "Beyond our
differences" needs special mention as it has unusual collection
of writings from China,Peru, etc., some are as old as 6000 years.
Her unique collection include many unknown facets like for example
a musical maestro's painting draws your imagination, while some
abstract paintings are also captivating. For the emotional factor,
a pair in love is good, and "the kiss" turns you on. Paintings
like "mother and child", a woman embracing someone to
her bosom, "the meeting" and "sweet message"
need special mention for their vividness.
This is the third time that she is holding her exhibition in India...
News Pondicherry, 222-28.II.2004, India
"Hymns of Love" : Paintings
which speak a thousand words... When asked why it was called "Hymns
of Love", she said : "Painting for me is not just drawing
something on canvas, it is a mixture of emotions, sounds, favors
and words coming to me when I paint"... As to inspiration for
her paintings, she says "I paint whatever I feel, when I see
something I register it in my mind and paint the emotions it creates
in me. Whatever I feel is reflected in my pictures". True to
her words, each of her pictures is of a different style altogether...
they can each tell a story....
She said too : If we have beauty around us, life itself becomes
more tolerable and enjoyable."
